About HCH - HCH Compound

The physical environment of HCH is a compound of four buildings. A basic dormitory is divided into 4 sections. 1 section each for younger and older girls, and also for younger and older boys. They are filled with bunk beds for the children and a small amount of personal storage space for each child. There is an administration building which houses a few offices, a staff meeting room, some guest quarters, food storage, and is also the location of the dispensary and infirmary. Another building contains a 2 bedroom with kitchen and dining guest area, and the dining/activity hall for the children. The final building consists of a newly built kitchen area in which staff members cook the meals for all the children over an open fire that is a more modern and healthy environment. There is an open cinder block area with cold showers and a customary toilet area. There is room for much improvement in these areas.
